As per reports, the Ministry of National Defense (MND) detected 10 aircraft from the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) and six vessels from the People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) around Taiwan around 0600 hours on Thursday (16 January).

Six of the aircraft crossed the median line and entered Taiwan’s northern and southwestern Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ). The MND has been monitoring the situation and responded accordingly.
