As per reports, capitol buildings in multiple states that were temporarily shut down and evacuated on Wednesday (03 January) following email bomb threats have been reopened, following thorough searches by authorities.
• Threat emails were received at government offices in at least 23 states, including Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi and Minnesota.
• The reason behind the threat or identity of the threat-issuer is not known.
• The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has taken cognizance of the threat, and announced investigations into the matter.
