As per reports, private sector companies across the UAE on Friday (08 March) have been urged to allow employees to allow remote work due to unstable weather conditions.
• The areas affected by the weather conditions are Al Dhafra, Al Ain regions, Abu Dhabi and its suburbs, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah.
• In a circular on Friday (08 March), the UAE’s Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has informed companies to apply flexible working patterns due to exceptional weather conditions.
• Heavy rainfall, thunderstorms and hailstorms are expected to impact the aforementioned areas from Friday (08 March) through noon on Sunday (10 March), leading to floods in some areas, according to the UAE’s Met Department.
