Turkish parliament to resume legislative activities in Ankara on Thursday (01 October)

As per reports, the Turkish Grand National Assembly is scheduled to begin its new legislative year on Thursday (01 October) with a special session at 1400 hours local time (1100 hours UTC).

• President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is expected to address the General Assembly during the opening session, followed by an evening reception hosted by the Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
• A monitoring commission is expected to be established to follow work related to the solution process.
• The General Assembly is expected to discuss regulations concerning the Turkish Red Crescent, the potential relaunch of Booking in Turkey, the 13th Judicial Package and proposed social media access using identity information.
• The Turkish Red Crescent proposal reportedly contains nine articles covering the organization’s duties, powers, rights and exemptions.
