As per reports, heavy snowfall in the central region including Gangwon, Gyeongbuk, and Jeolla provinces has caused disruption to aircraft, highways and passenger ship operations.

• The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced that as of 1000 hours (local time) on Tuesday (28 January), 111 flights were canceled at airports nationwide due to the snow that had fallen since the previous day. 68 flights were canceled at Incheon Airport, 16 at Jeju Airport, 11 at Cheongju Airport, 7 at Gimhae Airport, and 5 at Gimpo Airport. One flight was canceled each at Wonju, Gunsan, Sacheon, and Pohang-Gyeongju Airports.
• Passenger ship operations were disrupted for 96 ships on 73 routes nationwide, including Mokpo-Jeju, Yeosu-Geomundo, and Pohang-Baengnyeongdo.
• Rail transport is also experiencing disruptions, with some sections of the Gyeongbu High Speed ​​Line, Honam High Speed ​​Line, Gangneung Line, and Jungang Line experiencing reduced speeds.
• Vehicle operation was suspended on 24 provincial roads, including five provincial roads each in Jeju and Jeollanam-do and four provincial roads in Chungcheongnam-do.
• The Ministry of the Interior and Safety has stated that currently a heavy snowfall warning has been issued for the central region, Jeolla region, inland Gyeongbuk, and Jeju Island, where about one to three cm of snowfall is falling per hour. Moreover, one to five cm of snowfall will fall per hour until Wednesday (29 January) in the central region.
