According to reports, a special traffic plan will be implemented in a section of the Galle Road in view of the upcoming Independence Day ceremony on Sunday (04 February).

• The stretch of Galle Road from Kollupitiya Junction – Galle Face and from Ceramic Junction – Galle Face will temporarily remain off limits for traffic until Sunday (04 February).
• The road closure is effective from 0600 hours to 0830 hours and 1100 hours to 1230 hours from Monday (29 January) to Friday (02 February) and again from 1400 hours on Saturday (03 February) until the conclusion of the Independence Day ceremony on Sunday (04 February).
