As per Mumbai Traffic Police, due to Angarki Sankashti Chaturthi on Tuesday (29 September), a large number of devotees are likely to visit Shree Siddhivinayak Temple and surrounding areas, with increased pedestrian and vehicular movement expected around the temple.
To manage the anticipated crowd and reduce traffic congestion, temporary traffic restrictions will be implemented from 0600 hours to 2400 hours (local time) on Tuesday (29 September). If required for the safety of devotees, the restrictions may be extended.
• Traffic movement is expected to be affected along Swatantryaveer Savarkar Road (S.V.S. Road), S. K. Bole Road, Gokhale Road South and North, Kakasaheb Gadgil Marg, Sayani Road and Appasaheb Marathe Marg.
• Under the temporary restrictions, no entry will be permitted for all types of vehicles on S. K. Bole Road from Gokhale Road. No entry will also be permitted for all vehicles on Datta Raul Road and N. M. Kale Road from Gokhale Road. In addition, S. K. Bole Road from Agar Bazaar Junction will have no entry for all types of vehicles.
• The section of S.V.S. Road from Siddhivinayak Temple Junction towards S. K. Bole Road, Agar Bazaar and Portuguese Church will be closed to vehicular traffic.
• On Sayani Road, the right turn from Leningrad Chowk towards Shankar Ghanekar Marg will be closed, while the left turn from Ravindranath Natya Mandir will also be closed.
• Local residents living in and around Siddhivinayak Temple will be permitted to travel to their destinations as required.
