As per reports, on Tuesday (24 December), the Taiwan High Commissioner has announced traffic diversion and toll measures to manage anticipated congestion during the upcoming Spring Festival holiday. These measures will be in effect for nine days, from 25 January i.e, two days before Lunar New Year’s Eve to 02 February i.e. the fifth day of the Lunar New Year. The traffic diversions are as follows:

• From 0500 hours to 1200 hours on Monday-Wednesday (29–31 January), all vehicles will be prohibited from entering southbound ramps on National Highways 1 and 5.
• From 1000 hours to 1800 hours on Wednesday-Friday (31 January–02 February), all vehicles will be prohibited from entering northbound ramps in regions such as Huwei and the Po Salt System.
• From 0000 hours to 0500 hours daily between Monday-Friday (29 January–02 February), toll collection will be suspended.
• From Monday–Friday (29 January–02 February), small vehicles will be allowed on highway shoulders during peak times, and ramp control will be dynamically adjusted based on real-time conditions.
• From 1200 hours on Wednesday (24 January) to 2400 hours on Friday (02 February), all routine maintenance and construction activities will be suspended, except for emergencies.
