As per reports, authorities and religious organizations are preparing for the annual Corpus Christi procession scheduled to take place in central Guayaquil, Ecuador, from 1700 hours local time (2200 hours UTC) on Thursday (04 June).
• The procession is scheduled to depart from the Guayaquil Cathedral and proceed along Chimborazo Street, 9 de Octubre Avenue, Pichincha Street, Aguirre Street, and Escobedo Street before returning to the cathedral.
• More than 500 participants are expected to attend the event, which will be presided over by Cardinal Luis Cabrera.
• Municipal traffic officers are expected to be deployed to facilitate the movement of participants and manage traffic restrictions along the procession route.
