As per reports, International Women’s Day will be observed as a public holiday in Berlin on Saturday (08 March). However, significant demonstrations and events are scheduled throughout the city, leading to potential disruptions.
• Several demonstrations are planned in Berlin, leading to road closures and traffic diversions. The Traffic Information Center (VIZ) has issued warnings about substantial traffic restrictions
• A demonstration is planned to start at 1130 hours (local time) on Saturday (08 March) from Oranienplatz, proceeding through Oranienstraße, Axel-Springer-Straße, and Leipziger Straße, concluding at the Red Town Hall around 1600 hours (local time) on Saturday (08 March).
• A queer feminist bike demonstration will commence at 1200 hours (local time) on Saturday (08 March) from Mariannenplatz in Kreuzberg.
• A demonstration for universal feminist solidarity will start at 1300 hours (local time) on Saturday (08 March) at the Schönhauser Allee S-Bahn/U-Bahn station in Prenzlauer Berg and will continue to Weydingerstrasse. It will end at 1800 hours (local time) on Saturday (08 March).
• Another demonstration is scheduled for 1400 hours (local time) on Saturday (08 March) in Unter den Linden and will continue to Alexanderplatz. It will end around 1800 hours (local time) on Saturday (08 March).
