Traffic disruptions anticipated on Dhaka-Sylhet highway due to bridge repair work on Friday (28 February)

As per reports, the Sherpur Bridge over the Kushiyara River on the Sylhet-Dhaka National Highway will remain closed to traffic for 10 hours starting from 2300 hours on Friday (28 February) for renovation work. The repair work will be conducted overnight to minimize inconvenience.

To reduce disruptions, traffic will be diverted via three alternative routes:

1. Dhaka-Shayestaganj-Mirpur (Bahubal)-Sreemangal-Moulvibazar-Rajnagar-Fenchuganj to Sylhet.

2. Dhaka-Sylhet Highway via Shayestaganj-Sherpur-Moulvibazar-Rajnagar-Fenchuganj to Sylhet.

3. Sunamganj-bound vehicles: Dhaka-Shayestaganj-Saidpur (Nabiganj)-Raniganj-Jagannathpur.
