As per reports, a serious traffic accident occurred on Monday (07 October), at approximately 2000 hours (local time) on the Ebelsberg ring road in Linz. The incident involved a driver of an electric vehicle who crashed into a concrete pillar of a traffic light system.

The Linz professional fire brigade, the police, and the Ebelsberg volunteer fire brigade quickly arrived at the scene to secure the area and address hazards posed by the damaged high-voltage system of the electric vehicle.

• The accident resulted in significant property damage, including the total loss of the electric vehicle, damage to the traffic light system, and several traffic signs.
• The Ebelsberg bypass was closed to traffic during the rescue and recovery efforts, leading to considerable traffic congestion in the area.
