As per reports, at least three people died and four were injured after the bridge over the Strong River on State Route 149 in Simpson County, Mississippi, collapsed on Wednesday (16 October) afternoon while work was being conducted at the site.

The bridge has been closed to traffic since 18 September as part of a bridge replacement project.
