As per reports, a tank bomb was found behind Blue Ridge Society on Maan-Mahalunge road in Hinjewadi during construction work for a bridge on Wednesday (03 April). The bomb measures one foot in length and 40 cm in diameter, weighing approximately eight kilograms and was handed over to the Defense Department. It was identified as a bomb from the British era during which the Hinjewadi belt was a forest area and served as a war drill location. The front part of the bomb (bombshell) was buried in the soil. The bomb has been reportedly disposed off safely by the Defense Department.
