As per reports, an abandoned black toolbox was detected at the KR Puram Metro Station in Eastern Bengaluru at 1600 hours (local time) on Wednesday (06 August), leading to the deployment of police and Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) personnel.

The Mahadavapura Police reached the spot along with the BDS team, ambulances and the fire department. During the inspection, an engineer from the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) came to the spot and claimed responsibility for the toolbox. After inspection and verification, the toolbox was given to the claimant, and authorities ruled out any threat.
