As per reports, a fatal stabbing incident took place near Takadanobaba Station in the Shinjuku ward of Tokyo at approximately 0950 hours (local time) on Tuesday (11 March). The suspect attacked a woman with a knife and proceeded to assault her, leading to her death.

The suspect, a man in his 40s, was arrested at the site of the incident by police, with witnesses claiming that the attacker did not attempt to flee or evade custody. The preliminary investigation indicates that there was no link between the victim and the attacker; the probe is ongoing and further details are awaited.
