As per reports, Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the City of Calgary for Thursday (29 February) evening.

• A narrow band of heavy snowfall of up to 10 centimeters and nearly zero visibility is expected in the evening hours in the area.
• The snowfall warning prompted Calgary Transit to implement snow detours on some routes until Friday (01 March) afternoon, to avoid the number of buses getting stuck in snow amid extremely snowy or icy conditions. The list of snow detours can be accessed here: https://www.calgarytransit.com/rider-information/traveling-in-winter/snow-detours.html?redirect=/snowdetours
• A multi-vehicle collision involving at least 20 vehicles took place on the westbound Trans-Canada Highway at Stoney Nakoda First Nation, west of Calgary near Highway 40 around 1700 hours (local time) Thursday (29 February). The crash led to a traffic halt on the westbound lanes of the Trans Canada Highway.
• Further, Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) had advised against travel between Cochrane and Canmore on Thursday (29 February) evening, amid heavy snowfall conditions.
