As per reports, as of Wednesday (10 April) around four buildings out of the 14 had collapsed after a fire broke out in Dosumu, Idumota market, Jankara area of Lagos Island on Tuesday (09 April).
• Reportedly, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State directed the suspension of commercial activities in Dosunmu Street and its immediate environs in Lagos until further notice.
• It has been reported that goods and property worth millions of naira were destroyed in the fire.
• The markets affected by the closure to include Dosumu, Nnamdi Azikwe, Moshalashi, Woro Pedro, Obanikoro Streets, Ago Tawa, Idumagbo Avenue, Idumagbo, Ido – Oluwo and Oju Olobun Streets.
• Three individuals have sustained injuries and received treatment from agency paramedics.
