As per reports, pro-Palestinian demonstrators vandalised the BBC headquarters in London on Monday (17 February), by splashing red paint on the building and breaking windows. The act was intended as a protest against what the group described as the BBC’s biased reporting on the Israel-Palestine conflict.
• The activist group, Palestine Action, stated that the red paint symbolized the bloodshed in Gaza and accused the BBC of minimizing Israeli actions while amplifying narratives that contribute to misinformation and false equivalency.
• The Metropolitan Police confirmed receiving reports of criminal damage at the BBC’s office in Portland Place at approximately 0250 hours (local time) on Monday (17 February). The incident is under investigation.
