As per reports, on the evening of Monday (30 December), a shooting occurred at a busy downtown Los Angeles mall, located on the 700 block of South Figueroa Street, near the intersection of 7th Street.
• Two men were injured in the shooting, one of whom is reported to be a security guard. One victim is in serious condition, while the other is in fair condition. Both were transported to nearby hospitals.
• The suspect, a white male with tight, curly hair, was wearing a black jacket, gray pants, and a gray backpack and scarf. The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction on Figueroa Street.
• Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department responded to the scene following a call from the manager of Nordstrom Rack. A large police presence was visible outside the mall, and the area was cordoned off with yellow tape. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities continuing to search for the suspect.
