As per reports, an individual self-immolated outside the Manhattan Criminal Court (where former US President Donald Trump’s criminal trial is ongoing) around 1330 hours local time on Friday (19 April).
• A heavy emergency response was reported, with ambulances lining the block near 80 Centre Street, New York City, around the dedicated protest area during the trial.
• Police authorities have been able to identify the individual, who is currently in critical condition at the Weill Cornell Medicine — Burn Center.
