As per reports, a Sarmiento Line train operating from Moreno to Once collided with a car at the Monteagudo level crossing in Ramos Mejía after the vehicle crossed while the barrier was lowered at 1222 hours local time (1522 hours UTC) on Tuesday (22 September).
• The train’s power supply was temporarily interrupted to facilitate the safe evacuation of passengers.
• Although the service was subsequently restored, with delays and cancellations continued on the Moreno-Once route. Existing technical problems in the Liniers area further contributed to service disruptions.
• The other metropolitan railway lines cited in the report San Martín, Mitre, Roca, Belgrano and Belgrano Sur were reported to be operating normally.
