As per reports, Argentina’s National Meteorological Service (SMN) issued yellow-level weather alerts for storms and rainfall for Saturday (17 October), affecting several areas of the country.
• The northwestern part of Córdoba Province and southern La Rioja are forecast to experience persistent rainfall, potentially moderate to heavy, with intense precipitation over short periods, frequent lightning and occasional hailstorm.
• Additional yellow-level storm alerts cover the Andean areas of Neuquén, Río Negro, Chubut and Santa Cruz, where locally strong precipitation, intense wind gusts, frequent lightning and occasional hailstorms are possible.
