As per reports, on Saturday (24 May), multiple brush fires were announced near the Santa Cruz River in the Marana area of Tucson, Arizona.

• The fires are concentrated around the intersection of Cortaro Road and the Santa Cruz Bridge.
• Fire crews from the Northwest Fire District are responding to the incident, with police assisting in the containment efforts.
• An additional fire was announced behind the Amazon facility located near the Santa Cruz River.
• As of 1325 hours (local time), the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management estimated the fire’s size to be between 50 and 70 acres.
• In response to the fires, eastbound Cortaro Road at the Santa Cruz Bridge has been closed to all traffic.
• Authorities have issued a public safety advisory, asking residents and motorists to avoid the area until further notice.
