As per reports, a fire incident occurred at a hangar located at 62 Sofiyskaya Street in the Frunzensky District, southern St Petersburg, at approximately 0013 hours local time on Tuesday (03 February) (2113 hours UTC on 02 February).

The fire was contained at 0146 hours local time (2246 hours UTC) and fully extinguished at 0413 hours local time (0113 hours UTC).

• The city’s Ministry of Emergency Situations confirmed one fatality in the incident.
• The fire affected an area of 750 square meters. Firefighting operations involved 25 personnel and six pieces of emergency equipment deployed to the site.
• The cause of the fire has not yet been disclosed.
