As per reports, a fire incident reported at an auto parts manufacturing plant in Songjeong-dong, Gangseo-gu, Busan, at approximately 1359 hours (local time) on Sunday (22 February).
The following are the additional details:
• Preliminary reports indicate that the fire originated inside a steel-framed factory structure and continued burning for more than four hours without being fully contained. Thick black smoke was observed spreading across the factory area and into nearby surroundings, raising public safety concerns.
• According to the Busan Fire and Disaster Headquarters, authorities issued a Level 02 response at approximately 1616 hours (local time), mobilizing an extensive deployment of resources, including 68 units of firefighting equipment and approximately 160 firefighters, to conduct suppression operations.
• No casualties have been confirmed as of this update. In response to the spread of dense smoke, Busan city authorities issued emergency text alerts advising nearby residents to take appropriate safety precautions.
