As per reports, a collision on Highway 9 in Santa Cruz County was reported on Thursday (04 July) afternoon which led a power pole to catch fire.
• The pole fire has led to the closure of the Highway nine north of Boulder Creek.
• California Police authorities confirmed the fire was caused by a solo vehicle crashing into the pole, causing minor injuries. The fire is under control.
• One-way traffic controls are in place since 1430 hours local time.
• Approximately 650 Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E) customers are without power as of 1230 hours local time. There are no indication when power would be restored as of 1400 hours local time and investigations are ongoing.
