As per reports, a Five-alarm fire in Atlantic City on Thursday (11 July) has left numerous residents without homes. The fire rapidly spread from building to building, causing extensive damage and displacing many individuals.
Fire crews responded to the blaze at a building on South Georgia Avenue at approximately 0745 hours (local time) on Thursday (11 July).
• The fire, which grew to five alarms, caused severe damage to several floors, led to the collapse of the roof, and spread to two neighboring buildings.
• At least 76 residents from the affected building and the two neighboring buildings have been displaced and are asked to go to the Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall Parking Garage.
• Firefighters brought the fire under control at approximately 1310 hours (local time). The cause of the fire has not been determined yet, and investigations by the fire department are ongoing.
