As per reports, the shutdown of all in-person state services and the State of Nevada website is expected to persist on Tuesday following the discovery of a network security incident affecting the state’s computer systems on Sunday (24 August).

• Affected services include the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), Public Utilities Commission, and various dispatch phone lines and online systems for State Police and Highway Patrol.
• Governor Joe Lombardo’s office has confirmed that 911 and other essential services remain operational.
• Recovery efforts are ongoing, and the matter is under active investigation.
• The Governor’s office advises caution regarding unsolicited communications requesting personal information or payments, as these may opportunistically exploit the situation.
• The official websites of the State of Nevada and the Governor of State of Nevada remain inaccessible as of 0046 hours (local time) on Tuesday (26 August).
