Risk level: Low Country: United States

As per reports, widespread flash flooding has been reported as of 0800 hours local time (1600 hours UTC) across several parts of the US, particularly Arizona and Florida, on Sunday (01 November), following periods of intense rainfall and thunderstorms.

• The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued and extended multiple Flash Flood Warnings across central, northern, southern and western Arizona, with additional warnings reported in southeastern Florida.
• Reports indicate that the situation is anticipated to cause further disruption to road networks, residential areas and local infrastructure, particularly in low-lying locations and areas surrounding rivers, creeks and normally dry washes.
• The situation as of 1100 hours local time (1900 hours UTC) on Sunday (01 November) indicates the following affected locations in Arizona:
• In Northern and Central Arizona, Flash flooding has been reported across Coconino, Yavapai, Gila, Navajo and Apache counties, including Sedona, Cornville, Camp Verde, Winslow, Holbrook, Snowflake, Taylor and surrounding communities. The NWS has extended warnings in Coconino and Yavapai counties, with rainfall totals reaching 1.5 to three inches. Wet Beaver Creek and Oak Creek have recorded water levels above their respective flood stages. Wet Beaver Creek near Rimrock reached 13.45 feet against a flood stage of 9.5 feet, with a further crest of 14.62 feet anticipated at 1800 hours local time (0200 hours UTC on 02 November) on Sunday (01 November).
• In Southern Arizona Flash Flood Warnings remain in effect across Pima, Pinal, Cochise, Graham and Santa Cruz counties, including Tucson, Sahuarita, Green Valley, Oracle, Marana, Oro Valley, Vail and Catalina. Multiple swift-water rescues have been reported, while additional rainfall may further increase water levels in the Santa Cruz River, Rillito River, Pantano Wash and surrounding drainage systems.
• In Western Arizona, Yavapai County has reportedly experienced significant rainfall, with between 1.5 and 2.5 inches recorded in certain areas on Sunday (01 November). Flooding has been reported or anticipated around Bagdad, Congress, Yarnell, Wilhoit and Peeples Valley, with several state highways falling within the warning area.
• Additionally, in Gila County, flash flooding has been reported around the Billy Fire burn scar, where heavy rainfall may generate rapid downstream runoff. State Route 288, particularly between mile markers 273 and 286, has been identified as vulnerable to flooding.
• The NWS has issued a flash flood warning for the Paria River in Coconino County, following a rapid rise in river levels recorded by monitoring gauges in southern Utah. Floodwaters are anticipated to reach the confluence with the Colorado River near Lees Ferry between 1700 hours local time (2200 hours UTC) and 2000 hours local time (0100 hours UTC on 02 November).
• In Florida, the NWS Melbourne extended a Flash Flood Warning for southeastern Okeechobee County until 1415 hours local time (1915 hours UTC) on Sunday (01 November). Between three and six inches of rainfall had been recorded, with additional rainfall of up to two inches possible. Local law enforcement reported that sections of State Road 70 (SR 70) and US Highway 441 (US 441), in and around Okeechobee, had become impassable. Floodwater was also reported to be entering structures.
