As per reports, CrossCountry has stated that a high number of train cancellations is expected starting Saturday (30 December) until Monday (01 January) attributed to staff shortages on account of New Year’s Eve.

Short-notice changes and cancellations could occur on CrossCountry services on the lines from Leeds to Edinburgh via Newcastle, Cardiff to Nottingham via Birmingham and Leeds to Edinburgh via Newcastle.
