As per reports, demonstrations were reported outside the Maharashtra state assembly on Monday (30 June) following political tensions related to the Government Resolution (GR) for making Hindi language mandatory in schools as alleged by opposition parties.

Furthermore, the Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray stated that will stage a victory rally on Saturday (05 July), and have urged other leaders and people to join the rally.

• The rally is likely to continue on the previous route from beginning from Girgaon Chowpatty and culminate at Azad Maidan in Mumbai.
