As per reports, a shelter-in-place order was issued by the police for Piedmont Hills High School located on 1377 Piedmont Road in San Jose around 1055 hours (local time) on Thursday (14 March), as police searched for a suspect in the area.
• The order was issued after a suspect fled from the police for an unrelated call for service and likely entered the school after jumping multiple fences.
• Around 1300 hours (local time) Thursday (14 March), the shelter-in-place order was lifted after officers cleared the campus, following which parents were allowed to pick up their children.
• So far, no weapons, injuries or threats have been reported by the police.
