Security measures increased across Gisborne after local schools receive bomb threat on Thursday (16 May)

According to reports, Gisborne Police have increased security measures across the region, after three local schools received bomb threats via phone call, on Thursday (16 May) afternoon.

• Riverdale Primary, Lytton High School, and Campion College went into self-imposed lockdown, following the threat, but the lockdown was lifted after local police reached the premises.
• Gisborne Police have increased security measures in/around Riverdale and Gisborne, and are diverting the traffic from Nelson Road, until further developments.
