As per reports, Pakistani security forces have killed 12 terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted in the Kalat district of Balochistan. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the military’s media wing, officially confirmed the details on Friday (04 September).
• The operation targeted a hideout following intelligence reports regarding the presence of militants belonging to a group designated by the state as the proxy network Fitna al Hindustan.
• The ISPR stated that the tactical operation was carried out after identifying and monitoring the hideout, which was dismantled via a prompt surgical strike.
• In addition to eliminating all 12 militants on-site, security personnel uncovered and destroyed a substantial cache of ammunition and improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
• Following the initial raid, security forces initiated sanitisation operations to ensure no other militants remain in the immediate area.
