As per reports, Section 144 will be implemented in Murree, Rawalpindi, from Wednesday (31 December) to Thursday (01 January 2026), to ensure safety of tourists and maintain law and order during New Year celebrations.

• Under the restrictions, entry to Mall Road and GPO Chowk will be allowed for families only, while individuals without families will not be permitted to access Mall Road.
• Such individuals have been advised to celebrate New Year festivities in surrounding areas, including New Murree, Galiyat, and other designated locations.
