As per reports, a large-scale international demonstration and activist conference are scheduled to take place in Brussels on Sunday (14 June).

• Operating under the central motto of “Welfare, not Warfare”, the public mobilization is aimed directly at protesting the advancing militarization and expanding defense budgets within the European Union and NATO member states.
• The multi-organizational initiative is spearheaded by the StopRearm Europe campaign alongside the Stop Militarization Platform and is formally backed by the Party of the European Left (EL), an alliance representing over 40 left-wing and left-green political groups across Europe.
• Demonstrators are scheduled to assemble at Brussels North (Gare du Nord) starting at 1500 hours local time (1300 hours UTC) on Sunday (14 June) to begin a peaceful march through the city center, focusing on areas near prominent European Union administrative institutions.
• Following the street march, an activist conference and strategy assembly are scheduled to run from 1800 hours local time (1600 hours UTC) to 2130 hours local time (1930 hours UTC) at the Royal Library of Belgium (KBR), located on Boulevard de l’Empereur near Place Jean Rey.
• The manifestation is intentionally scheduled ahead of an upcoming European Union summit aimed at shifting mid-term financial frameworks to scale EU military spending from EUR 26,000,000,000 to EUR 131,000,000,000, as well as a scheduled NATO summit in Ankara where defense spending targets are projected to increase to five percent of baseline gross domestic product by 2035.
