As per reports, the Royal Meteorological Institute (Koninklijk Meteorologisch Instituut, KMI) has issued a yellow heat warning for most of Belgium from Tuesday (28 July).

• It is scheduled to remain in effect from 0000 hours local time (2200 hours UTC on 27 July) until 0000 hours local time on Saturday (01 August) (2200 hours UTC on 31 July).
• The warning covers West Flanders, East Flanders, Antwerp, Limburg, Flemish Brabant, Brussels, Walloon Brabant, Liège, Hainaut, Namur and Luxembourg provinces from Tuesday (28 July) through Friday (31 July).
• Forecasts indicate that temperatures are expected to increase significantly from Tuesday (28 July). Daytime temperatures are forecast to reach upto 30 degrees Celsius.
• In response to the forecast, the Flemish Department of Care has activated the warning phase of the Flemish Heat Action Plan for the third time this summer.
