As per reports, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) have announced that the girder installation for the Cowles Bridge in Westfield will take place starting Wednesday (12 March), creating traffic delays in the area.

The girder installation will occur between Routes 10 and 202 over the Little River on Wednesday (12 March) and Thursday (13 March) between 0700 hours (local time) and 1700 hours (local time) each day.

• Short-term traffic stoppages will be required by police details during this time in order to safely lift the girders into place. Drivers traveling through the area should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
