As per reports, civil society groups have called for a public march in Santa Cruz following the death of Sebastián Vespa, a university student who died after being struck by a bus, on Saturday (31 January).

• The demonstration aims to demand amendments to the Penal Code to impose stricter penalties on drivers responsible for serious traffic offenses.
• The march is scheduled to take place on Saturday (31 January), starting at 1800 hours local time (2200 hours UTC).
• Participants are expected to gather at the El Cristo Redentor area in Santa Cruz before proceeding with the demonstration.
