As per reports, the Federation of Health Workers of Santa Cruz has announced a 24-hour departmental strike on Friday (06 November). The workers are demanding that the Ministry of Health and the Santa Cruz Departmental Government release the pending 2026 vaccination allowance for healthcare personnel.
The strike will affect healthcare establishments across all three levels of care in Santa Cruz and the provinces. The measure will also extend to the Departmental Health Service (SEDES), Environmental Health, the Vector Control Programme and the Blood Bank.
