As per reports, the City of Jamestown is scheduled to begin road closures on Thursday (26 June), as part of its ongoing city street maintenance program. The work involves milling and overlay operations intended to improve road surfaces in several areas.
• Road closures are scheduled to start at 0730 hours (local time) on Thursday (26 June) and are expected to continue until approximately Thursday (03 July), depending on weather conditions.
• The project is overseen by the city engineer’s office, which has also placed signs to mark closed roads.
• Affected areas include 12th Avenue Southwest from 7th to 8th Street Southwest and 8th Street Southwest from 11th to 12th Avenue Southwest.
• Other impacted roads are 11th Avenue Southwest, 900 block of 14th Avenue Southwest, and 14th Avenue Southwest between 17th Street Southwest and the alley between 15th and 16th Street Southwest.
• Additional closures is scheduled to affect 20th Street Southwest from US Highway 281 Southeast to 9th Avenue Southwest, the 1600 block of 10th Street Southwest, and 8th Avenue Southwest from 17th to 18th Street Southwest.
• The 1600 block of 8th Avenue Southwest, 16th Street Southwest from 7th to 8th Avenue Southwest, and the 2300 block of 10th Avenue Southwest is also scheduled to be closed.
• The 14th Avenue Southwest from 13th to 14th Street Southwest is also included in the project.
