As per reports, road closures have been in effect along the area of 27th Avenue and Northern since Monday (15 April) morning due to a hazardous material situation in the area.
• A safety perimeter is in place in the area that extends about a half mile from the intersection, in all directions, hence fire crews reportedly advised people to avoid the area.
• Reportedly, officials with Washington Elementary School District stated that the incident resulted in all students and staff members at Washington Elementary School being evacuated to Palo Verde Middle School, located in the area of 39th Avenue and Orangewood.
