As per reports, the Amman Marathon Bromine is scheduled for Friday (04 October) requiring specific road closures and traffic adjustments in the city.
• The General Security Directorate’s Traffic Department announced that several key roads is scheduled to be closed, including Army Street from the new Raghadan complex, Hashemite Square, Quraysh Street, Ali bin Abi Talib Street, Omar Matar Street, King Talal Street, Al-Hashemi Street, Queen Alia Street, Queen Noor Street, Uqba bin Nafea Street and Princess Basma Street, from 0000 hours (local time) on Friday (04 October) until 1200 hours (local time) to accommodate the marathon.
• Queen Alia Street is scheduled to be closed between the sports city roundabout and the interior roundabout, and Queen Noor Street will also be closed between the interior roundabout and the fourth roundabout during the event.
• The 10 kilometres race, which starts at 0900 hours (local time), will result in the closure of Uqba bin Nafea Street and Princess Basma Street until noon.
• The Traffic Department encourages citizens to use alternative routes to access downtown and western areas of Amman, ensuring smooth travel during the event.
