As per reports, wide-ranging road closures and vehicular traffic restrictions are scheduled to be enforced across Cali on Sunday (28 June) to accommodate the 2026 Half Marathon.
• The Secretariat of Mobility stated that the official road restrictions will remain in force from 0430 hours local time (0930 hours UTC) until 1100 hours local time (1600 hours UTC), during which strategic detours will be active across the city.
• The athletic competition circuit is scheduled to use the area surrounding the Pascual Guerrero Olympic Stadium as its starting point.
• From the stadium zone, the platoon of runners is projected to advance along key sections of Calle 9 and Carrera 66, subsequently connecting directly with the Southeast Highway.
• Reports indicate that the official race route will proceed through sectors of Calle 7 and Calle 5, traverse the Bulevar del Río, and head north along Avenida 4 Norte up to the intersection of Calle 44 Norte.
• Competitors are then scheduled to advance along 6th Avenue (Avenida 6 Norte) toward the city centre before re-entering Calle 5 to complete the final segment, which will officially culminate at the intersection of Roosevelt Avenue (Calle 6) and 30th Street.
• To complement the event, the Masivo Integrado de Occidente mass transportation system will implement major operational adjustments between 0400 hours local time (0900 hours UTC) and 0930 hours local time (1430 hours UTC).
• Metrocali confirmed that 11 distinct MIO bus routes—specifically A02, A06, P21C, P21E, P24B, P47A, P47B, P51C, P62A, P62D, and P75—will operate on temporary detours.
• Concurrently, route P27D will completely suspend its service during the race window. Public transport routes will temporarily stop serving the designated bus stops on Calle 5 between Carrera 5 and Carrera 6, alongside Carrera 10 between Calle 7 and Calle 8, with normal operations resuming gradually behind the final pack of runners.
