As per reports, farmers’ organizations have announced a chakka jam (road blockade) across Maharashtra, in case the government fails to meet their demands, on Sunday (08 August).
The road blockade is in continuation to farmer leader Ravikant Tupkar’s hunger strike which has been ongoing since Wednesday (04 September).
• The farmers’ demands include complete debt relief, increased prices for soybeans and cotton, and compensation for damages caused by heavy rainfall.
