As per reports, the National Weather Service (NWS) has issued red flag warnings for portions of northeast and east central Colorado among other areas until 2000 hours (local time) on Sunday (07 April), amid forecast of fire weather conditions.
• One red flag warning covers North and Northeast Elbert County below 6000 Feet/North Lincoln County, as well as Southeast Elbert County below 6000 Feet/South Lincoln County.
• Northwest winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph and relative humidity as low as 12 percent is predicted in the warned areas.
• A second red flag warning has been issued for Central and South Weld County and Morgan County, as well as for Central and East Adams and Arapahoe Counties and Washington County.
• Northwest winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph along with relative humidity as low as 15 percent is expected in the warned areas.
