As per reports, the National Weather Service (NWS) issued a red flag warning for South Jersey and Denver, effective from 1000 hours (local time) to 1800 hours (local time) on Thursday (24 October), due to increased fire danger arising from dry conditions and gusty winds.
Northwest winds of 20 to 30 miles per hour (mph) are expected, with gusts potentially reaching up to 50 mph, and relative humidity levels as low as 17 percent.
• The affected regions in Southern to Central New Jersey include Middlesex, Western Monmouth, Mercer, Salem, Gloucester, Camden, Northwestern Burlington, Ocean, Cumberland, Atlantic, Cape May, and Southeastern Burlington.
• Additionally, counties under the warning in Denver include Larimer, Boulder, Jefferson, West Douglas, Gilpin, Clear Creek, Northeast Park, Northwest Weld, West Broomfield, North Douglas, Denver, West Adams, Arapahoe, Central Douglas, East Douglas, Northeast Weld, Central Weld, South Weld, Morgan, North Elbert, Northeast Elbert, Lincoln, Southeast Elbert, South Lincoln, Logan, Washington, Sedgwick, and Phillips.
