As per reports, following a train derailment in Canton Ticino, Switzerland on Wednesday (18 September), railway disruptions have been reported between Como, Italy and Mendrisio, Switzerland.

The disruptions are expected to continue on the route until Saturday (21 September) due to the derailment. According to the Swiss Federal Railways rail traffic on the Lugano-Chiasso route remains interrupted.
