According to reports, from 0000 hours on Sunday (02 February), public transport will be suspended in the Ijtema area of Gazipur, Bangladesh, due to the growing influx of devotees attending the final prayer of the first phase of the World Ijtema. The prayer is scheduled between 0900 and 0930 hours on Sunday (02 February), as announced by the Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP) Commissioner.

• The closure will affect vehicular movement on Tongi-Kamarpara Road, the Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway from Tongi to Gazipur’s Bhogra Bypass, and from Abdullahpur to Ashulia’s Bypass.
• Vehicles heading to Mymensingh and Gazipur are to be redirected via Gabtoli through Konabari.
• In addition, the vehicles commuting via Mymensingh to Dhaka are advised to use the 300-foot road via Bhogra Bypass.
